The SIH is equipped with specialized laboratories and facilities, including: the Manuscripts Restoration and Maintenance Laboratory, of Historical Collectibles Restoration and Maintenance Laboratory, and a studio equipped with the latest recording, sound insulation and montage techniques for recording and documenting heritage arts.
These facilities have been equipped according to the international standards and carefully designed to meet the needs of all types of restoration works.
SIH further comprises a laboratory customized for tests of architectural heritage, garments and heritage collectibles. It supports the practical aspects that students need during practical lessons.

Classrooms
Sharjah Institute for Heritage contains classrooms, training halls, and a lecture hall. All are equipped with electronic presentation and translation facilities meeting the requirements of the educational activities at the Institute.

Studio
The studio consists of two rooms: the first is the artistic performance room. The other is for record, control and direction. It is equipped with the latest recording, sound insulation and montage techniques. In both rooms, all heritage arts are recorded and documented in order to conserve the intangible culture heritage.

Scientific Dissemination

The SIH strives to provide the cultural field with valuable scientific products taking into account the scientific standards and recognized academic controls in the scientific dissemination within the framework of its comprehensive and integrated cultural vision, which is consistent with the Sharjah cultural project. It also works in line with the prudent directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, which aim at building bridges of knowledge through writers and interesting topics with rich contents contributing to crystallizing cultural awareness and enriching the Emirati and Arab library with new and useful culture, heritage, history, literature, science, anthropology and related topics. The SIH publishes academic theses series, heritage notebooks series, heritage books series, Emirati creations, after being subject to scientific arbitration.

Moreover, it publishes (Al Mawrouth), a quarterly scientific journal. The first edition was issued in March 2016, in addition to the monthly magazine “Marawed”. It is miscellaneous magazine concerns the cultural heritage.
