The Sharjah International Narrator Day (SINF)
An annual tradition celebrating human treasures launched in 2001, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to preserve both tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
The SINF was initially launched to pay tribute to bearers of oral heritage, and to care for and honor the elderly among them. It then witnessed an important qualitative shift in 2015, and became an international forum celebrate human treasures at the local, Arab and international levels.
